    Infectious mononucleosis

    Explanation:

    Also known as Glandular fever It is caused by the Epstein Barr virus (EBV). It is common in children and teenagers. It is spread through an infected person's saliva or other body fluids such as blood. Sharing of drinks or tooth brushes can spread the infection.

    Signs of Infectious mononucleosis include very swollen tonsils and reddened throat.

    Diagnosis is by blood test for confirmation.

    No specific medicine is used. It is a self-limited disease. Only relief medication can be used.
