    The pH of a solution increases gradually with increasing basicity.

    pH has a scale from 0-14. Acidity means that pH varies between 0-7. with most acidic solution having the lowest pH. 7 is the pH for neutral solution. Then, from 7-14, the solution becomes basic. As basicity increases, the pH of the solution also increases with most basic solution having a pH around 14.
