    a. When two masses are moved further apart from each other, the gravitational force between them will be weaker. They will not have a large effect on each other.

    b. However, when two masses are moved closer together, the gravitational force between them will grow stronger (a prime example of this is the Sun's gravitational force on the Earth). The larger the mass is, the higher effect it will have on other bodies of mass.
