What is the difference between down cutting, stream energy and stream load?

    Down cutting is a geological process by hydraulic action that deepens the channel of a stream or valley by removing material from the stream's bed or the valley's floor.

    I don't exactly remember what stream energy is, sorry. I think it's the kinetic energy given off by a moving stream.

    Stream load is a geologic term referring to the solid matter carried by a stream.
