    Absolute Dating

In absolute dating, age of any fossil or rock is determined in term of number using direct calculation based on the concept of half life period while in case of relative dating, all the historical incidences are placed in order from oldest to youngest and then the relative age of the species is determined based on the age of other layers as well.

Absolute dating, it is more accurate because it uses half-life of an element and provides dates in years.
