    Homologous chromosomes are chromosomes that have the same sequence of genes, that have the same structure, and that pair during meiosis.

    -Sex chromosome is either of a pair of chromosomes that determine whether an individual is male or female. For example, the sex chromosomes of human beings and other mammals are designated by scientists as X and Y. In humans the sex chromosomes comprise one pair of the total of 23 pairs of chromosomes. Females have two copies of the X chromosome, while males have one X and one Y chromosome.
