    Explanation;

    Population growth is the increase in population density with a given period of time.

    Various factors such as birth rate, immigration, death rate and emigration affect population growth differently.

    Birth rate is the total number of live births per 1,000 in a given period of time, such as an year. Immigration refers to the movement of people to a foreign country or an area to live.

    Increased birth rate and immigration causes a positive population growth, while their decline causes a decline in population growth.

    Increased death rate and increased emigration causes a decline in the population growth. On the other hand, decreased death rate and and decreased in emigration causes an upward trend in the population growth.

    A negative growth rate means it is decreasing. The two main factors affecting population growth are the birth rate (b) and death rate (d). Population growth may also be affected by people coming into the population from somewhere else (immigration, i) or leaving the population for another area (emigration, e).
