Dr. james isolated staphylococcus aureus, a type of bacteria, from the leg wound of a ten-year-old boy. he suspected these bacteria would grow better at body temperature than room temperature (72°f), but thought that he should collect data to support his thinking. dr. james introduced the same number of staphylococcus bacteria

    Dr. James isolated the bacteria and tested in different temperatures. The results were as he expected, the bacteria grew better at body temperature than room temperature.

    We could see that in test tubes, with room temperature, there was less

    turbidity while in body temperature there was high turbidity.

    This means that the dependent variable in this experiment is B. growth of bacteria because it depends of the temperature they are in.
