The seed bearing plant is divided into two categories: Gymnosperms (naked seeds) Angiosperms (seeds enclosed in ovary) Seed bearing plant produce Microspores which leads to the formation of pollen grains. The pollen grain serve as a carrier for the sperm to the egg. Seed bearing plant produce Megaspores, which formed within the ovules, and results into the formation of seed, when sperm fertilizes with the egg.
