    Explanation:

    Hydro kinetic energy uses water to produce electricity which we use in our houses and businesses area. Hydroelectric energy can be generated on a small scale with a 'run-of-river' installed. As much as they are advantages. We also have disadvantage which are:

    Drought: as water run off water are being used to generate the energy, energy prices are directly related to how much water is available. So a drought could potentially affect this.

    Expensive: while building power plants in general is cost or expensive, hydroelectric power plants are not an exception, although the workers and maintenance costs are usually low.

    Environmental disturbance: hydropower interfere in nature with the damming of water, changed water flow and the construction of roads and power lines. Draining would be completely devastating to any aquatic life close to the site.
