The sensory neuron in the face and neck would transmit the signals to other neurons in the spinal cord. These signals would be transmitted via the dorsal root to spinal cord. From there, an intermediate neuron or a relay neuron would convey these signals via ventral root to motor neurons in lower section of spinal cord.
