What is meant by the following statement about the cell membrane? The cell membrane is said to be semipermeable. A. It will not allow any molecules to pass through. B. It does not contain any membrane proteins. C. It is very selective about what it allows to pass through. D. It allows all polar molecules into the cell.

    Because semipermeable means the something chooses what it lets in and what it keeps out.
