    bacteria are actual living creatures. most bacteria are actually harmless. Without bacteria, you wouldn't be able to digest food or fight diseases

    viruses aren't living things; they're literally just protein and DNA packed together into a shape. Viruses are extremely specific about the cells they attack, while bacteria infections could be anywhere in the body. Viruses cannot be killed by antibiotics, while bacterial infections can be killed by antibiotics (life lesson: don't take antibiotics if you have a common cold)
