Explain the difference in a roughage and a forage. Describe the benefits of each and why and how you would use each of them.

    Forage is a plant material eaten by livestock while roughage is fibrous indigestible material in vegetable food stuff.

    Forage are the vegetable material in fresh, dried state while roughage are bulky feeds with low weight that are high in fibers.

    Example of forage are leaves, stems and stalks of plants and the example of roughage are peanut hulls, cottonseed hulls.

    Forage are easily digestible while roughage are not easily digestible.

    Forage has high nutrient value while roughage do not have high nutrirnt value.
