    Mons veneris is also known as the mons or mons pubis. It is a part of female human genital organ. It is a fatty layer of skin which covers the pubic bone. During childhood mons veneris does have hair but when girl reaches puberty, it becomes thick and covered with hair. The mons pubis forms anterior part of vulva. The main function of mons veneris is to protect and give cushion to genitals during intercourse.
