Explain examples of monomers and polymers, carbohydrates, proteins, and nucleic acid

    One amino acid = monomer Protein (strand of amino acids) = polymer

    One sugar = monomer A chain of sugars = polymer (ie cellulose)

    One nucleic acid = monomer DNA = polymer

    Monomers are glucose, amino acids, nucleotides for carbohydrates, proteins an nucleic acids respectively. The polymer examples in the same order are glycogen, insulin and DNA.
