Suppose five boats are adrift at sea, each one containing a number of your relatives, and you have the power to save one boat from a dire fate. According to kin selection theory, it would be in the best interest of your genome to save a boat that contains:

A. Two of your brothers

B. 7 of your cousins

C. Both of your parents

D. One sister, one brother, and one cousin

E. 4 half siblings

    Well in my opinion, I would rule out B and E right away. C would be out because your parents can be older and so they are not able to reproduce more. That leaves A. and D; D sounds more promising than the other answer.
