    In general notation, they are represented by small alphabetical characters.

    Let us say, Dominant trait of red color of flower is represented by "R" and recessive trait of white color of flower is represented by "r"

    Being dominant, if even one "R" allele is present in the genotype of a flower, it will subside the expression of recessive trait.

    Thus, only a flower with genotype "rr" will be white in color
