Both systems interact in the sense that digestive system involves the breaking down of complex food substances into simpler absorbable forms. These absorbable forms like glucose, amino acids etc are assimilated into the circulatory system through the hair-like structures in the small intestine (Villi, which has lots of blood capillaries) into the circulatory system. The circulatory system transports these food materials to different parts of the body where they are need for energy production and other metabolic activities.
