The best definitive action that should be done by the nurse is to refer the patient’s unresolving pneumonia to the physician in-charge of the patient. The physician will then now reassess the patient and fill out the doctor’s orders to be carried out by the nursing department. On the other hand, the nurse should closely monitor the patient since non-improvement may lead to critical states.
