    This would be a severe case. 12 percent of the body is roughly the size of the face. Imagine having your entire face covered with psoriasis. Psoriasis creates large, flaky scales and redness of skin, and can even be painful when the patient also has psoriatic arthritis. This patient should seek medical treatment.
