    Locard's principle of mutual exchange suggests the fact of contact leaves traces, which means that when an object comes in contact with another object the traces of the surface gets exchanged between the two objects. Like adherence of the paint of a truck on front fender of a car during an accident.

    New tape or disc should be used each time a new crime scene as the tape might have used to collect physical evidences like fibers, fingerprints, hair samples and others. After collection the traces may be left so new tape or disk should be used.
