If a gas has a volume of 1L at a pressure of 270 kPa what volume will it have when the pressure is increased to 540 kPa. Assume the temperature and number of particles are constant.

    0.5L will be the Volume of the gas if the pressure is increased to 540kPa.

    According to Boyle's Law, pressure is inversely proportional to the volume of the gas, if temperature and the number of particles are kept constant. That is, an increase in pressure will reduce the volume and vice versa.
