Scientific inquiry is asking a question about the world and finding out an answer or explanation in order to develop explanations of natural phenomena in a continuing and creative process. It is very important to follow safety rules during every scientific inquiry:

    1. Do not taste, touch, or smell substances unless directed to do so.

    2. Wear safety glasses and other required safety equipment.

    3. Keep the lab area, including table top and walkways, clear of unnecessary items.

    4. H andle all equipment carefully and as directed.
