The answer is false. Temperate rainforests are not located near the equator. Instead, tropical rainforests are found near the equator. Most of the tropical rainforest in the world are found in Latin America approximately 55% percent of them. Others are found in the Southeast Asia and in the Pacific. Temperate rainforests, on the other hand, are located along some places in temperate zones. The largest one can be found along the Pacific Coast of North America.
