    a regular curve is displayed by myoglobin. when the concentration of oxygen is decreased, the myoglobin will saturate very quickly which means that the myoglobin have very high affinity for the oxygen and dont easily release oxygen.

    so if Y>k, then myoglobin is less than 50% saturated with oxygen.
