Enzo investigated the effect of different types of fertilizers on the growth of bean plants. He hypothesized that fertilizer B would result in the greatest amount of growth. However, the results showed that the control plants without fertilizer had the greatest growth. Why was Enzo's data still valuable even though it did not support his hypothesis?

Question 2 options:

The data can be used to redesign the investigation so that the results support the hypothesis.

Option D. Given this data, Enzo could be sure that plants do not need fertilizer.

    Explanation:

Bean plant belongs to leguminous family. Leguminous plants are those in which nodules are formed in the roots. These nodules contain a specific bacteria called Nitrogen fixing bacteria. This bacteria converts atmospheric nitrogen into nitrates which is used by the plant. So that's why bean plant doesn't need fertilizer for its growth.
