Compare a large cell to a small cell in terms of the overall rate of nutrient intake and explain these differences.

    Following the simple concept of Surface Area to Volume ratio we can see that the smaller the over all exposed surface area of a cell is the more time it will take for nutrients to be absorbed through diffusion and as the volume increases time taken for that nutrient to diffuse into the cell would also increase therefore a large cell takes more time to absorb nutrients and has a slower rate of intake as opposed to a smaller cell as nutrients being absorbed can readily diffuse inside it.
