    The Concentration of Molecules

    The atoms or molecules move from higher concentration to lower concentration gradient, such movement of particles is known as a passive movement. It does not require any energy. It continues by own itself until dynamic equilibrium is reached.

    Dynamic equilibrium reaches when concentrations become equal and the rate of forwarding reaction is equal to the rate of the reverse reaction.

    Dynamic equilibrium is a condition where constantly moving particles are balanced. It is different than static equilibrium, in which the parts do not move once they've reached equilibrium. An example of dynamic equilibrium is movement of water across the membrane. Water moves in both directions (into and out of cells) in order to balance concentration of molecules on both sides of membrane.
