Lupe is conducting an experiment to find out what type of antibacterial soap kills the most bacteria. in her experiment, lupe grows

    The independent variable in an experiment is where what you would change.

    So since this experiment is to test for different brands of antibacterial soap, therefore lupe changes the type of soap in each petri dish.

    So the independent variable is a, the brands of antibacterial soap.

    However, the type of bacteria grows is constant, and it should be the controlled variable. And the tenth petri dish should be the control of the experiment.
