Transcription of the fur colour gene involves the conversion of the gene that codes for the fur colour in the deoxyribonucleic acid of the animal to an ribonucleic acid template. While in translation, the ribonucleic acid template is converted to the required aminoacids which are linked up to form the protein that is expressed when the fur of the animal is to be determined.

    Explanation:

In the process of transcription, the gene coding for fur colour in the animal found in in the deoxyribonucleic acid which houses all the genetic information of the animal is read in the ribonucleic acid format with adenine bases replaced with uracil instead of thymine. This format is then translated by the messenger ribonucleic acid per codon (made up of 3 bases) into the protein responsible for fur colour until the stop codon terminates the transcription process. The polypeptide produced is then released and ready for expression.
