How are the three types of symbiotic relationships different? similar?

    What makes these three relationships similar is that they involve the close and often long-term interaction between different biological species. In mutualism both organisms benefit from the relationship. In commensalism only one organism benefits while the other is left unaffected.

    In parasitism one organism benefits from the relationship while the other is harmed
