Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism (RFLP) is one of the methods forensic scientists use to study DNA. In this process, an enzyme is used to cut the DNA strand into sections. The limitations is that it does not do well with dirt or mold.

Restriction Fragment Length Polymorphism is a molecular method which is used to identify the individuals based on the certain patterns. This site is based on the unique pattern of the restriction enzymes which cuts the specific regions of DNA.

This techniques is used in analysis and forensic science for the identification of the culprit.

    Limitations:

It takes longer period of time to get the results as this procedure includes several steps.

RFLP also requires large samples of DNA and is laborious as well as time consuming.
