What controls the opening and closing of stomata? leaf shape vascular bundles guard cells mesophyll cells stomata are always open?

    The answer is guard cells. They're the cells that controls the opening and closing of stomata, the stomata opens during day time and closes during night, it is because day time has sunlight which is necessary to photosynthesis and water and oxygen can be released. The guard cells are like a door, that opens and closes.
