It is important for the cycle of carbon, phosphorus, and nitrogen because all three elements are essential for human life. Carbon is a building block for organic matter, which includes parts of the human body (proteins, lipids, and DNA). Phosphorus is a significant element that is found in DNA structures. Nitrogen is among the most important elements for life. It can be found as a gas (air), but is also found in water and soil.
