What is the use of an artificial kidney machine to filter the blood of a person to remove waste products called?

    Hemodialysis. Hemodialysis is the process of using a dialysis machine to filter toxins and waste products from the blood of a person or animal who's kidney has been removed or has otherwise failed. The blood is most often taken and then put back into from a surgically installed port, usually on a patients arm.
