    Mast cells are migrant cells of the connective tissue and they are made up of granules which has a lot of histamine. They play an important role in wound healing, immune tolerance, defence against foreign Invaders or pathogens attack and blood barrier function. They release part of their granules into the neigbouring tissues to act as barrier.

    In immune response, the create antigen by modulating acquired pathogens. They process bacterial antigen and present it to T cells and lymphocytes to fight against the pathogens.
