Body composition is more accurate for determining the ideal weight as compared to the BMI because of some factors like it include height and weight but it does not include the sex and age of the person into its account during the calculation of final result.

Similarly in athletes the heavy muscles and body weight could be due to their professional requirements but BMI shows the fat components to be the reason of their uneasy health.

BMI could not gave the correct results during the pregnancy, breast feeding which could make a person feel unhealthy, causing various other problems and tensions.

Therefore body composition is more accurate than BMI to determine ideal weight considering all important factors.
