    PP, Pw, Pw = purple flower

    ww = white flower

    Explanation:

    As purple flowers (P) are dominant to white flower (w), will make Punnett square for this cross.

    P w

    P PP Pw

    w Pw ww

    P is dominant to w, so offspring with either the PP or Pw genotype will have the purple-flower phenotype. The only offspring with the ww genotype will have the white-flower phenotype. Therefore, in this cross, three out of four (75 %) of the offspring would have purple flowers and one out of four (25 %) would have white flowers. These are the same percentages that Mendel got in his first experiment.
