First, the nurse should check for blood pressure, temperature, pulse, look at your bandage, regulate you iv and give you pain medication if you need.

The patient should tell the nurse if he/she is having any pain to be medicated. Nurse advice client that he may have some other signs like feeling sleepy, dizzy which the client will be medicated on. Craniotomy client stays in the hospital for fourteen days then after that, the client can go home and still be under medication.

The time of discharge the client is advised of signs to watch if you need to call a doctor, diet to use, pain medication and then activity restrictions.
