    Placental previa happens during pregnancy especially in the third trimester, where the placental is implanted abnormally in the lower part of the uterus, and this cause a painless bright red bleeding.

    Abruptio placentae causes dark red bleeding which is associated with the premature separation of the placenta from the wall of the uterus either during pregnancy or before the end of labour.
