Option C, the water is cooler than the land, and air sinks over the water

    Explanation:

During summer hot day, the land and ocean both get heated. But since the specific heat capacity of water is higher than the land, it takes longer time for ocean to heat up than the land. Since during day land is warmer than ocean, hence the air above it also gets warm and rises away. While the air over ocean is comparatively cooler than the air above on land and hence it sinks down and starts moving towards the land thereby causing sea breeze.
