Fossil records are the remains of animals or structure that are preserved. It reveals evolution. Hunting of others by fellow animals may leads to extinction of such species and the remains of such animals may not be seen to preserve for posterity. It does reduce fossil records

It has been observed that animals changes as time evolves and the remains are kept to compare the changes over time.
