Why is pressure greater in the abyssopelagic zone than in the bathypelagic zone?

    Because the pressure increases with the lack of light, which makes the pressure increase with increasing salt content, and then the pressure increases with decreasing temperature. Finally the pressure increases with the weight of the water above.
