    An epidermal layer found only in the skin of the palms of the hands and the soles of the feet is the stratum lucidum.

    Our skin has three layers: epidermis, dermis and hypodermis. Each layer is divided into further layers. The outermost layer of the skin epidermis has five layers, stratum lucidum is one of them.
