Since purple is dominant over white, it is fair to say that white is recessive. The crossing over of two white plants suggest that the parents are both homozygous recessive. Crossing over of 2 homozygous recessive white plants would produce progeny. In the production of 1000 offspring by two white plants, all of the1000 progeny would be white as well.
