Earth is home to more than 20 million kinds of organisms, and all have DNA

made up of only four types of nucleotides. The bodies of each kind of

organism grow and function according to instructions in their DNA. How can

birds and dogs both use instructions in DNA to grow and function and still be

different organisms?

    Explanation:that is chromosome that make them to differ in diploid numbers thus differ generally and appear differently

    I disagree with the above answer. The answer should be D as the different nucleotide sequences would result in different proteins formed and synthesized that would eventually perform different functions and account the for the structural differences between the two species. While amount of DNA differ, it does not account for the vast differences observed.
