    Explanation:

    An error during transcription means that RNA transcript formed is mutated one. In most of the cases proofreading is done in transcription process to eliminate the error but if has not been removed then eventually mutated mRNA will be produced.

    According to the central dogma of life, DNA forms RNA transcript, and RNA translates into proteins i. e. DNA code determine the RNA and RNA codes determine the Amino acid sequence on the proteins formed. So, if error during transcription would cause synthesis of mutated RNA, it would ultimately result in the formation of proteins with mutated amino acid sequences, hence its function will be altered too.
