What is the chemical basis of permanent? be sure to include the use of a reducing and a oxidizing agent in your explanation?

    Adding the chemical to the hair which is the reducing agent that breaks the disulfide bonds and now the curling brings the respective residue in a different order such that when an oxidizing agent is added the disulfide bonds are formed causing a curl of permanent wave.
