Urine exits the 2 kidneys into 2 ureters, each kidney connecting to 1 ureter. Ureters are long tubes made of smooth muscle. These 2 tubes lead to the urinary bladder where urine can collect for some time. Urine then travels through 1 urethra, another smooth muscle tube, and then can be expelled to the outer world.

    2 ureters - > urinary bladder - > 1 urethra - > outer world
